Questions people actually ask

Is my saved library private?

Yes. Papers, folders, tags, and notes are stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and never leave your computer. Only your account email and license status are ever sent to our server โ€” needed to check whether you're on Pro.

Do I need an account to use it?

No. The free tier is fully anonymous โ€” save, track, and organize papers with no sign-up. An account is only needed to start a Pro trial or activate a purchase, and it's just an email address with a one-time code โ€” no password.

Is there a monthly plan?

No โ€” Pro is yearly only, at $14.99/year. Every new Pro subscription starts with a 14-day free trial, so you can try everything before paying.

What happens to my saved papers if I don't renew?

Nothing is deleted. Papers you saved while Pro was active stay in your library permanently โ€” the free-tier limits only apply to new saves going forward.

How many computers can I use Pro on?

One at a time. Signing in on a new computer moves your license there instantly, no code needed on a computer you've already verified โ€” capped at 10 moves per year.

Is this affiliated with PubMed or NCBI?

No. PubMed Tracker is an independent, third-party extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), NCBI, or NIH. "PubMed" is used only to describe what the extension works with.

Your next paper is already on PubMed.
